Yellow. Yellow. Yellow. It’s all around us, especially during summertime! We love every shade of it. We’ve been using the color yellow to help inspire us all month long. We wanted to share two bits of inspiration that we are loving for this week.
We love seeing yellow in clothing. It’s a way to be festive and celebrate summer. These two girls are sporting their Petite Lemon tee’s in Little Sunshine and Taped Up. This little pop of yellow makes these tees extra bright and sunny.
We also love yellow patterns. Petite Lemon created this fun xoxo pattern that would look awesome on a t-shirt too!

Get Inspired!: Safari Themed Décor
Last week we posted about safari themed personalized baby gifts (here) and promised a décor post to help inspire you to get the look. Well, here it is! We’ve rounded up some super cute safari animal inspired nurseries and chose some of our personalized growth charts that would make the rooms even more adorable.
Animal print décor, as well as a mix of stuffed animals and wall decals, pull together the safari theme in this sophisticated warm brown and pale chartreuse green nursery. The Animal Crackers personalized growth chart would accent this room perfectly! (Janey Mac)
We love how chic, yet whimsical this blue and green safari nursery is, and would choose the Zoo Friends personalized growth chart to soften up the look in the room’s very geometric design. (Project Nursery)
This nursery’s design is a less literal version of a safari theme, but it has a colorful, fun vibe with jungle animal accents that will easily take it from baby room to kid’s room. The equally creative Doodle It Up personalized growth chart would only add to the quirky cool room. (La Dolce Vita)
The Growing Giraffes personalized growth chart makes a great complement to this nursery decorated with pops of bright colors and wild animal themed wall art and knick knacks. (On to

Get Inspired – May Flowers
Modern floral designs are a big trend in fashion, which is no surprise because who doesn’t love seeing beautiful blooms springing up everywhere, especially after the cold winter months. They’re also popular in home décor and are a fabulous choice for nurseries because they can easily be used as accents or as a major theme and work really well with a whole range of shades, from pale to bright.
We’ve found some gorgeous nurseries with flower décor and paired them with our personalized growth charts.
We love the sweet femininity of this light pink nursery with floral accents and think the Best Friends personalized growth chart would fit in well with the color scheme, as well as the square and rectangular shapes used throughout the room. (Eat Drink Pretty)
We love this pink and aqua room with hand-painted roses on the wall and would add the equally adorable Fairy Tale personalized growth chart. (Project Nursery)
Oversized abstract florals in bright colors add a modern edge to this whimsically colorful room and our Sprinkled Flowers personalized growth chart nicely accentuates the existing wall art. (Jeanette Lund floral nursery on BustedBinky.com)

How-to Tip: Use Stickers to Record Height on Personalized Growth Charts
We love creating our line of personalized baby gifts and want our customers to get the most use and enjoyment out of them, so we like to come up with fun how-to ideas to share with you.
For those of us that don’t have the best handwriting (guilty!) or just want to be a little extra creative when recording a child’s height on their personalized growth chart, stickers make a super cool (and easy) solution.
Here are a few ideas on how to use stickers on personalized growth charts:
1. Choose stickers that either match or contrast with the growth chart’s design. Think pretty butterfly stickers on the Hoot Hoot growth chart or simple colored circular stickers from an office supply store on the Color Me chart.
(Butterfly stickers from Etsy Shop Graphixpress and round colored stickers from Staples)
2. For kids that share the same growth chart, use different sticker themes or colors to differentiate their heights.
(All of these different labels are from Paper Source)
3. Pre-write dates on stickers to remind yourself when to measure so you don’t miss milestones like birthdays, holidays, school year start and end dates, etc.
(Kraft Heart stickers are from Etsy Shop ChickyDoddle; Chevron Ombre stickers are from Etsy Shop OnceUponSupplies)
What do you think; do you or would you use stickers on your kiddo’s personalized growth chart? Do you have a unique way of recording your child’s growth you’d like to share with us?
Nursery Décor Trend: Metallics
Last week while writing about Cool Ceilings, we also realized we’re equally in love with another trend that’s as popular in fashion as it is in home décor – metallics. Adding shine and sophistication, metallic sheens like gold, bronze, and silver make gorgeous accents that can easily transition from a nursery to a toddler room, and even all the way into the teen years. That’s totally medal-worthy!
Here are a few kids’ rooms that rock the metallic look and paired them with our personalized growth charts.
The shiny gold ceiling dots make an unexpected design element in this colorfully eclectic shared bedroom, so we would pick the All About Love personalized growth chart to coordinate with the aqua and pinks and let the ceiling continue to stand out. (Cheap & Chic Nursery)
Warm bronze accents, including the fab chevron ceiling, give this neutral hued room sophistication so we’d add in the Vintage Circus personalized growth chart for a little extra color and whimsy.(PBJ Stories)
We’d love to see our Perfect Pennant personalized growth chart in Yellow accent the current framed prints that pop against the wall of chic silver circles in this nursery. (Project Nursery)
Which is your favorite metallic décor and personalized growth charts combo?
Get Inspired: Cool Ceilings
Wallpaper, paint and/or wall decals are great ways to bring together a theme in a nursery, but for something really special, look up! A cool ceiling design draws attention upwards, making a small space appear larger or just adding an unexpected bit of panache to a room’s décor. Plus, when baby isn’t asleep, an interesting ceiling will give him or her something fascinating to look at.
Here are four different nurseries with super cool ceilings and some personalized growth charts that would nicely complement each of them.
The Shooting Star personalized growth chart goes perfectly in this bold green nursery with an innovative starlit ceiling that uses fiber optic lighting to really shine bright. (Apartment Therapy)
This fabric draped ceiling is the wow factor in this sophisticated lavender and gray nursery, so we would keep it simple with the Perfect Pennant personalized growth chart in Slate Gray. (Little Crown Interiors)
A 3-D ceiling draws the eye up in this graphic blue, green and chocolate nursery. The Picture Me personalized growth chart would make another eye catching accessory. (Better Homes & Gardens)
A subtly striped pink and white ceiling is a nice contrast to the bright pink crib and multi colored floral wall art. We’d add in the complementary Sprinkled Flowers personalized growth chart. (Project Nursery)
Would you do something special on the ceiling of your baby’s nursery? If so, which of these rooms and personalized growth charts inspires you most?
The More The Merrier: All about decorating a shared room
Project Nursery recently identified the top 10 nursery décor trends for 2014 and so far we’ve highlighted two trends we’re particularly excited about – Navy as Neutral and Return to Tradition. This week we put the spotlight on “The More The Merrier.” All about decorating a shared room, this is a trend we can definitely relate to and don’t see it going away anytime soon. Whether baby is sharing a space with its parents, older sibling or twin, it’s important that some of the décor be just for him or her.
We’ve found some ideal shared bedroom designs and matched them with our personalized growth charts.
If your bedroom is also baby’s bedroom, a personalized growth chart design that appeals to your aesthetic but also has a clean and simple design is best. For this master bedroom/nursery, we like the our Perfect Pennant personalized growth chart which also features vivid yellow background (available in 5 colors) in a modern pennant shape . (Suburbs Mama)
Using a personalized growth chart that features siblings’ names together, as well as wall art with each child’s name and monogram, gives the room cohesion as well as a sense of individuality. And of course we love that our Animal Crackers personalized growth chart is being used in this bright & cheery big sister/little brother room. (Melissa Esplin)
Twins share so much, so when it comes to their room it’s nice for them to have some things that are entirely their own, like a personalized growth chart that will track their individual growth. For this boy/girl twin room, we’d choose the On the Go and Up Up Away personalized growth charts, both of which complement the overall room design. (Project Nursery)
Do your wee ones share a space? Which of these personalized growth charts and room designs best fits your needs?
